Simone Biles' husband: is he the "catch"?

A beaming smile, with lights shining down on her. A roar of applause echoes for the

one and only Simone Biles, the world's most decorated gymnast of all time. With an estimated net worth of $16 million, an average of 5.75 million people tune in to watch her Olympic performances every four years.

Jonathan Owens, Simone Biles' husband, is the safety for the Green Bay Packers. The Packers, as a whole, have an estimated 80,000 fans, and Owens has an estimated net worth of $7 million.

In a recent interview, Owens claimed he was the "catch" in the relationship, and that he had no prior knowledge of who Biles was before they were in a relationship. Simone Biles' fans have taken it upon themselves to see if he's really more popular than she is.

When shown a picture of Biles, Liberty sophomore Chinazom Odulukwe said, "That's Simone Biles, obviously." When shown a picture of Owens, she guessed he was a basketball player, and said she didn't watch basketball and didn't know who it was.

In Owens' interview, he swore that he had no clue who Simone Biles was before he stumbled upon her on a dating site for famous people. When he searched her on Instagram, he saw that she had a good following, and Googled her to see who she was.

However, when skeptical fans of Biles went through Owens' Twitter, they caught multiple tweets of him talking about the 2012 female Olympic gymnasts. Simone Biles, while not in the senior Olympics that year, dominated the Junior Olympics.

When sophomore Andrea Perez was shown a picture of Simone Biles, she stated that she didn't watch sports but was able to name Biles almost immediately. When shown a picture of the Green Bay Packers safety, she couldn't name him. She said she had no idea Biles was even married.

This brings Biles' fans to wonder: how could Jonathan Owens not know his wife was a world famous gymnast when they met? Why did he say he didn't pay attention to womens' gymnastics in the Olympics, but live tweet while watching them?
